BimmerLife MiX Enthusiast Weekend has begun!

MiX Caravan to Greer

Drive with us to BimmerLife MiX Enthusiasts Weekend celebrating BMW M, i, X and all BMW vehicles.
The Northern and Midwest routes are two-day drives and will begin on Wednesday, April 17.

The South route is a one-day drive and will occur Thursday, April 18.

Tour guides will lead guests to the Metal Finish area of the Body Shop, where they will see how precision robots install the rear hatch, side doors, front fenders and the hood attached to body of an X5 of XM vehicle. Guides will also explain the Paint Shop process as guests watch Paint Shop associates working separated by a glass wall. The Assembly process will not be part of the tour at this time, but guests will learn about the overall process of how the Ultimate Driving Machine comes “alive” at Plant Spartanburg. This event will give participants the chance to sample several current BMW models between different “driving” stations. The stations include the “rat race” (where two M cars compete against each other on a skid pad), a timed event for friendly competition, off-road driving in a BMW X3 or X5, and driving an M car around the handling course. Finally, buckle up in the passenger seat for a high-speed hot lap as Performance Center instructors drift around the track! On Saturday, the MiX weekend continues with Caffeine & Gasoline® sponsored by Griot’s Garage at the BMW CCA National Headquarters from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon. Members are invited to park their BMWs on the twenty-acre campus and lawn surrounding the lake for a huge all-BMW gathering. During the cars and coffee style event, we will host car care demos, award trophies and introduce special guests from BMW of North America. In addition, attendees will have the chance to shop at the BMW CCA Lifestyle store and see some rare BMW models up close in the headquarters garage.

Paint Your Own Art Car – For Kids!

Enroll your youth in a Paint Your Own Art Car Competition. A diecast 1:18 model of the BMW 1 Series will be provided for your child to paint. This model is rare and is an original BMW-produced model! Your child’s finished work of art will automatically be entered in a competition for “Best In Show” to be awarded at the end of Caffeine & Gasoline. Test your own Ultimate Driving Machine against fellow members! All participants will be driving their own vehicle. BMW cars and BMW SAV will have their own separate class to determine Fastest Time of the Day (FTD).
